This Webquest is designed so that students can get a better understanding of utopian and dystopian literature. Seventh grade students have one novel in seventh Grade The Giver and a novel in their 8th Grade year The House of the Scorpion that is set in a utopian/dystopian society. Doing this Webquest opens up class discussions and can ignite writing prompts during the 3rd nine weeks. Google Classroom will come out during September of 2014. This Web 2.0 tool will allow students to have an account and turn in work and receive feedback without using paper.
This WebQuest is designed for regular and/or advanced classes. The rubric for the final task can be modified if needed for your learners.
